is an American artist, actor, producer and veteran. Matthew was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, where his parents were stationed. He was raised across the United States, and following high school in Tampa, Florida, he enlisted into the Air Force Security Forces, served 6 years which included combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
After separating from the Air Force, Matthew moved to NYC to study acting at BMCC & City College of New York. On stage, he's played leading roles in SEXUAL PERVERSITY IN CHICAGO (Bernie) & RACE (Jack), AWAKE AND SING! (Moe) Claude in HAIR: THE MUSICAL and the title role in ANATOL. He has performed at 54 Below, Bay Street Theater and across NYC. Matt recently played 'Doc Maddy' in WAR STORIES, written by Vinnie Lyman (2018 Arts in the Armed Forces Bridge Award Winner) at American Theater of Actors (Nov '19, Produced by Society of Artistic Veterans).
Matthew paints with oil & acrylic on canvas. Recent showings include NY Art Gallery, Van Der Plas Gallery, Brooklyn Bazaar, 17 Frost, Legendary Republic, Park Ave Armory & Melrose Ballroom. His work is at SAVIDA in Tribeca and a large installation of "Quiet Night" at 333 Broadway.
As Managing Director of the Dimo Kim Musical Theatre Factory, Matthew has produced the Off Broadway productions; Interview: A New Musical ('17), Green Card: A New Musical ('16) & Comfort Women: A New Musical ('15 &'18). He co-produced and starred in the horror comedy 'The Devil's Restaurant' by Hayride films.
This year, Matthew wrote and starred as Vincent Van Gogh in SUNFLOWER. (SAG short film). Directed & Edited by Ryan Metcalf. Produced by Rob Alicea. Executive Producer Saima Huq.
